SHE MAY HAVE TAUGHT YOU how to count, how to share your toys, and how to brush your teeth. And although each of our family dynamics vary greatly, one thing is certain… There’s really no way that we can adequately pay back our moms for the gift of life.
Mother’s Day Is A Chance To Say, “Thanks, Mom”
We’d like to add our voices to the chorus and share an expression of thanks to each of our moms. We’d love to hear YOURS too!
From Our Team
We asked each team member to share a thought or favorite memory about their own mom:
From Surprise + Carefree Orthodontics:
“My mom and I went on a weekend getaway to Los Angeles in 2014. I hadn’t been alone with my mom in more than 25 years! It was a lot of fun. We flew together on the airplane, shared a hotel room, and went out for every meal together. I felt blessed to have this quiet alone time with my mom – without kids or spouses. We weren’t just mother and son, we were two adult friends. It was a great weekend! ”
“My mom is the biggest Elvis fan ever! Her trip to Graceland was at the top of her bucket list and I’m so glad she was able to fulfill that wish. She deserved it!”
“My mom and I would always get together on Fridays to run errands or go to appointments. After we were done with all the things we needed to do we would stop for ice cream before going home, just her and me. She loved pistachio ice cream! I love you, Mom!”
“There really isn’t a “favorite” memory of my mother. She is always there for me for the big things and the little things. Whether I need something big like taking me to an E.R. at 3:00 in the morning or something trivial like chatting on my way home from work. She is the first person I go to whenever anything happy, sad or triumphant happens or when I misstep or blunder. She is the only person I can be completely myself with and one of the only people I could ever rely upon. She is my mother and best friend. She is my person.”
“My mom taught me to sew at a young age. Every summer I would pick out a pattern that I wanted to make and she would teach me anything new or challenging on the pattern. I always entered my projects into the county fair through 4-H and often was selected for state fair. In high school, my mom helped me make two really beautiful prom dresses and she and my sister made her wedding dress! I don’t sew too often anymore, but when I need a custom set of curtains or something decorative for my home, I think of my mom and appreciate the skills she taught me and the time we were able to spend together sewing.”
“My mom has a heart of gold and will probably die a Saint one day. She is selfless, compassionate and classy. She loves venturing to different places and countries. She is just an all around amazing human being and I love her very much!”
